Rules for the 2009 Season

Pure Stock (Also See Rules for All Classes)

1. Maximum 3600RPM

2 Gear Ratio Currently Undetermined

3. Must have "breakaway" Safety Switch or a functional seat switch

4. Any engine manufacturer (single or twin)

5. Maximum rear tire size 20 X 10.00 X 8, Minimum front tire size 15 x 6 x 6. Tires must be “Turf” type tires

6. Must be Lawn cutting ready, deck on, deck belt on, spindles functional, with blades removed, have reverse, functional clutch (or a hydrostatic transaxle), and brakes.

7. No other modifications allowed.

Sportster Class (Also See Rules for All Classes)

1. Maximum 3650RPM

2. Maximum 8:1 ratio with maximum 16” tires on rear (See printed rule seet))

3. Must have "breakaway" Safety Switch

4. Minimum front tire size 13” Diameter.

5. Deck may be removed. If retained it must be safely secured

6. May modify throttle for hand or foot control. Throttle must return to idle if let go.

7. Must have reverse, Functional clutch, Functional Brakes

8. You may convert to a heavy-duty transaxle and lock it, but overall width may not exceed 44”

9. Front axle may be fabricated. Spindles may be modified as needed

10. Mower maybe lowered for safety purposes

11. No other modifications allowed

Modified Class (Also See Rules for All Classes)

1. Maximum 4600RPM

2. No Gear Ratio

3. Must have "breakaway" Safety Switch

4. Maximum rear tire size - 18” Diameter. (See tire tread rule)

5. Deck may be removed. If retained it must be safely secured

6. Pin or thread w/ locking nut front and rear wheels

7 Throttle must return to idle if let go.

8. Must have functional brakes.

Unlimited Class (Also See Rules for All Classes)

1. Maximum 5400 RPM unless the mower has a flywheel scatter shield or an Aluminum flywheel (See design specifications at end of rules sheet)

2. Any Gear Ratio

3. Must have "breakaway" Safety Switch

4. Any lawnmower engine, Single or Twin.

5. Front Tires must be “Turf” type tires. Rear tires - (See tire tread rule)

6. Deck may be removed. If retained it must be safely secured

7. Throttle must return to idle if let go.

8. May use lawnmower transaxle or transmission and “live” axle.

9. All wheels must be pinned or bolted on.

10. Must have brakes capable of locking rear wheels

Outlaw Class (Also See Rules for All Classes)

1. No restrictions on ratio, body style (front. mid or rear engine), drive train configuration or tire sizes

2. Maximum 5400 RPM unless the mower has a flywheel scatter shield or an Aluminum flywheel (See design specifications at end of rules sheet)

3. See tire tread rule for tires

4. Gasoline fuel only

5. Must have kill switch and safety tether

6. Must have brakes capable of locking the rear wheels.

7. All wheels must be pinned or bolted on
